Telehealth can be so....BORING!
Telehealth has brought us into our client's homes and lives. We have had to create a whole new toolbox of art, play and sandtray activities to help children, teens and adults manage. Like many clinicians, we've run out of fun, effective ideas. This on demand video will serve as a guide for play therapists to infuse their practice with art techniques and activities into their telehealth that will aid in with a variety of presenting concerns, ages and situations. Play therapists will be able to incorporate learned skills into their clinical approach and techniques into in person and online telehealth services. Ethical considerations, diversity and limitations will also be explored.
By the end of the video, participants should be able to…
- Describe at least two art activities to incorporate into trauma-informed play therapy telehealth services with young children.
- Identify cultural considerations with art making therapy unique to telehealth play therapy.
- Demonstrate how to link art techniques in therapy activities to client's therapy goals and outcomes.
